Patients with high myopia have long eye axial length, usually with choroidal
and retinal implications, and therefore need to check fundoscopy before
LASIKFLAPLESS. At times, argon-laser photocoagulation of the retina would
be necessitated. When there are cracks or pits on the retina, they must
be photocoagulated so that the retinal detachment does not broaden, and
this is necessary without regard to LASIKFLAPLESS.
LASIKFLAPLESS in itself is the reshaping of the part that
can be likened to the lens of camera and cannot cure the less sensitive
condition of film (amblyopia) or retinal sensivity. Please also note that
the lens reshaping is the lessening of myopia by increasing farsightedness.
Surgical fees for both eyes is two thousand U.S. dollars (
2000$ plus sales tax and medication).
After ringing and making an appointment(Please note; do not wear contacts for 7 days prior to your visit to our clinic.) come to the clinic for your first consultation during which you will advise the Doctor of all and any previous medical conditions including any medication you are presently taking. The Doctor will talk to you about which kind of operation will best suit you due to the type of myopia you have. He/she will then advise you of the risks in volved which will take into account age, degree of myopia etc.
In most cases the patient will have an eye examination and
another examination before the operation followed by an examination the
day after the operation and at 1 week, and every month for the first 6
months and then again at 12 months (Please note; these visits are very
important for great results and must not be missed)
